Dr . Layla van der Heide - Martin is assistant professor in transport and

logistics at Eindhoven University of Technology ( TU / e ) , focusing on

decision - making in transport operations .

Layla participates in multiple research projects aiming at reducing

emissions from transport operations through modal shift and

electrification .

TU / e leads the first work package ( Freight Flow Implementation )

within InnoWaTr , helping the eight FFCs in setting up coalitions , and

the early phases of the project .

TU / e researchers also develop algorithms for operating and

coordinating FFC operations and contribute to the dissemination of

InnoWaTr findings to their students , tomorrow ‘ s decision - makers .
